Auchterarder is known as 'The Lang Toon' The Royal Burgh of Auchterarder is a situated with the Ochil Hills and Gleneagles to the south and Strathearn to the north. The town is laid out with a long main street, giving rise to the nickname of the Lang Toon . In the High Street you find a choice of banks, post office, chemist, butcher and bakers, tourist information centre, the local supermarket, gift and antique shops, hairdressers, ironmonger and virtually every convenience you might need.
